Artistic Connections to Childhood, Home, and Collective Memories
My drawings, paintings, prints, sculptural pieces and video works are intended to explore childhood, concepts of home, and the power of collective thoughts and memories.
Childhood: My work captures some of the whimsical essence of childhood, evoking nostalgia and common remembrances through objects and symbolism. By exploring elements such as toys, local neighbourhoods, and significant events, I aim to evoke memories and personal reflection on the power and influence of all our formative years.
Home: Through art, I reinterpret the idea of home as both a physical space and an emotional sanctuary. By including familiar objects, and common memories that evoke warmth, I invite viewers to reflect on their own notions of home and the sense of belonging it brings.
Collective Memories: Drawing inspiration from shared experiences and cultural symbols, we weave together threads of collective memories that resonate across generations. Our art serves as a visual dialogue, connecting individuals through common recollections and universal themes.
